Dug up a few more historical tidbits on the Mai Kai. This ad announced the opening of the Molakai Bar on Thursday, March 6 1958.
The early 1958 ad for the Mystery Drink featured the first wahine bowl that was used.
The custom Mai Kai bowl ad showed up in 1959.
