Bigger is not always better and most of the time worst.

I don't have a particular dog in this fight because I don't even make the attempt to go to Tiki Oasis, but I'm reading about it's popularity and can't disagree with you here. I have the feeling like a bigger hotel would just mean MORE rooms sell out in five minutes. Or maybe they could stretch it out to six minutes before they sell out. I guess it'd be great for that many more people, but is that many more people necessarily creating a better experience?

I dunno'... For me, the size alone would be enough to keep me away. Not because I'm too hip or whatever, but simply because I'm not really fond of large crowds of people, especially if they're drunken and engaged in shenanigans. If I was ever put in charge of an event, I'd want to keep it small and low key, and if it sells out in five minutes, great. But that's just me. The Social Drinking Introverts Tiki Convention 2018.
