These were experimental mugs and they worked out. I will do this style again in the future. What I did was take a spike and to stir the clay. What I feared was that I was introducing air pockets that would explode in the kiln either with bisque firing or after glazing. But it all worked out. After finishing the first Tiki Bob I decided to do a PNG version. I very carefully ran glaze into the stirred clay designs. Here's how they turned out. Wendy
