I picked up this nice newspaper archive photo of the bar at Hawaiian Luau restaurant at the Fontainbleau Hotel in New Orleans. Skipper Vince's bar, hmmm a nod to Skipper Kent perhaps.
The designer was Robert L Bennett from New York. The article on the back of the photo pegs the grand opening on Tuesday May 21, 1963. DC |
