Hamo that's a fun story. I very much want to take a driving trip through Colorado and to see some of the small towns and fun towns. My nephew and his family went to Aspin to ski during the holidays. However their street in Montecito, Olive Mill Road is the one that had the horrific mud slide that wiped out 100 homes and killed 17 with another dozen still missing. So they are unable to return home so they are continuing their time in Aspin. Their home was spared because it sat back from the road but their street and the highway are closed. Three bodies were found in their driveway. We are all so lucky they were not home because they walk everywhere on that street.

Thank you for all the time you are spending looking at my pages. It's fun to know that you are seeing my progression from a want-to-be tiki artist to being accepted as one. I love this special niche in the art world.

hang10tiki thank you so much for these photos. Are there any more? It's a vacation for me when you post and I get to just enjoy your trips or walks in the morning. I'm keeping an eye on your carving thread. You too have become a tiki carver and we love the pieces of yours we have in our home.

I just finished posting and found your post right above. Such a cool place is it on the drive to the Bali Hai?

================================

I have been working on the Wish List #8 and on the Sacramento Crawl mug for 2018 every single day. I will be back to posting soon.
Meanwhile here are a couple of photos I took today.

Today we drove to the city of Lincoln. Because Vampiress RN said the Gypsy Chic sale was open and fun to go to. First we stopped at the Salt Mine thrift store for Dan to look at records. He found a Martin Denny where someone had scratched out the eyes and made them scary.

Then we went to the Gypsy sale and found re-purposed items for sale. It was a fun walk but they didn't make a sale. I did have an 80 year old man flirt with me and he even did a little dance. I pointed out my husband. Someday I'll start wearing a wedding ring. It just doesn't go well with clay work.

Then we went to a cat rescue store where Dan found CD's. Dan's hearing is acute so he loves music. I see well so I love art.

Then it was on to Thunder Valley for the buffet lunch. I told Dan I was going to add pineapple to the vanilla ice cream for desert. Imagine my surprise when out of the spicket (sp?) came pineapple Dole Whip. I still added some fresh pineapple. So fun to find a favorite Hawaiian treat in our area.

On the way home we stopped to buy peanuts. I've been shipping so much recently that we ran out. Dan does all the heavy lifting for me!

Thank you for the visit, Wendy
