Looks like the most problematic obstacle to development has been removed. I looked up the "Kingdom of Atooi" and found lots of weird stuff. In a nutshell, there are more people in line ready to take up the matter of what belongs to today's ancestors of the native peoples. What a mess. It's hard to tell who is right and who is just blowing smoke. Technically every square inch of every island could in some person's view be considered sacred and an important part of the native history. I can only trust that the Hawaiian elected officials and their judges are doing the right things. The big mystery to me is finding out if they are still able to re-build the resort and then turn a profit.
