This should be fun, please join me! Culinary Historians of San Diego present: "Ninety Years of Classic San Diego Tiki: 1928-2018." Join host Martin Lindsay in celebrating the local history of Polynesian pop culture, tiki restaurants, bars and cuisine. This free visual presentation features stories, photos, menus and memorabilia from San Diego and Tijuana, 1928 to 2018. The event is free and open to the public. After-party at Bali Hai Restaurant, Shelter Island, San Diego. 10:30am Saturday, September 15, 2018 #Martin S. Lindsay, AIGA, is an art director, local historian and freelance writer. He blogs about food (Alineaphile.com, EscoffierAtHome.com) and history (ClassicSanDiego.com). Martin was a contributor to Tim Ferriss’ bestseller The 4-Hour Chef, and is author of the upcoming book, Classic San Diego: Tasty Bites from the History of America’s Finest City.
