Supposedly they cancelled the annual costume parade because "some families can't afford expensive costumes!" Well you know what? I took a dang potato chip bucket, covered it in tinfoil, stuck it on my head, called myself a robot, and was thrilled with it. The kids don't see it as a competition for the most expensive costume, that crap is between the parents.
