I think you could not have straight sides on the tiles, the mold would need to be tapered a bit (larger at the top than at the bottom) Resin could be a good solution, they are usually cast in flexible silicone molds. It would look a little different, a little monotone. Ceramic glaze thins over the high spots and pools in the low spots giving it color variation and shading.
