Huh. Honarkar spent so much money, effort and time restoring the Royal Hawaiian that I was shocked when I heard the rumor it was shutting down/changing owners. Leasing to Molteni seems to make sense, an upgrade of the dinner menu. But damn, that 12 month lease and talk of redevelopment is certainly worrisome. I think we're all justified in fearing the worst--it's happened so many times! |
