To further bind the tikis to the mug I ran some sticky clay all the way around each tiki. Next I used a wet brush to remove the excess. Our neighbors cat comes to inspect each step. It does slow me down a bit but it makes for a more precise mug. Next I took a very sharp knife dipped in water to trim the tikis edges down. A miracle! I uncovered a deadly trapped air bubble. During firing this little gap could crack or blow up the mug. I'm very careful but sometimes they happen. I hope there are not more in this mug. Cheers, Wendy
