Thanks! The good news is that the lashing is actually structurally functional. Even without the metal tie downs, it will still have some uplift capabilities.

I've always liked the mix of stone, wood, and metal in one decorative piece, so figured might as well incorporate that into my tiki bar. The vision looks really cool in my head, just a matter of making it happen. I'm off to buy dark brown paint for the exterior. The teal/aqua color is starting to get to me and not fitting my vision.
