Remember folks, not everything that comes up on PINTEREST under Tiki IS Tiki. No, monkeys and parrots are not from Polynesia, neither are Fezzes. They are part of the current Tiki Revival pop fringe. If they are multiplying recently, it is a sign of Tiki Devolution: People just going for that "whacky" stuff, because actually delving into the rich artistic history of Tiki and Oceanic Art takes too much time, a keen artistic interest and eye, and can't be done in two mouse clicks.
