a number of years ago I had moved in with my girlfriend who was a single mom and the only improvements to her backyard was a pool. So we decided on building some free standing party decks with a sails as covering. After that, we built a deck around the pool with a tiki hut like palapa. Sadly not long after completion and only one party we broke up.

After we completed the patio cover and deck I moved to the corner of the yard. All the trees and shrubs had to be cut down and 32 piling footing needed to be set. I did this by myself in one weekend.

Thatching of the roof is the only time I had any help. That was actually the hardest part of the whole job.

More images to follow, once I figure out how to post them.
