The day before was so hot we decided to go up country towards Haleakala to our favorite place on the island. We made it and it was cooler around 80 degrees. It wasn't cool enough to dress like this but having had skin cancer and losing my mother to a melanoma I dress to protect myself from the sun. It's hot but it's worth it. The white shirt is from REI and is 30% sun proof. I took 100 or so photos but I'm showing my favorites. I take so many so I can use them when I do black velvet painting. This is part one of this day. We were only half done. Wendy
