So am not sure of the company, but these images I am pretty sure are Paiwan tribe style. The snakes are common in Paiwan imagery. I think the figures are ancestor and guardian stylized , and yes probably for tourist trade. The Paiwan have made tapas traditionally as well. Interesting note, the word Paiwan can translate also like the Maori definition of Tiki..."first man".
