I picked up this 3 foot mask at an estate sale last week. It's a bit rough - the finish is flaking off and the mouth in broken. I could repair it and restore it to it's previous glory but I like him just the way he is. "Broke da mout" is Hawaiian slang for food so good that it breaks your mouth and "ono grindz" is the food so awesome that it broke da mout. In a play on his defect, I have decided to name him "Broke da Mout, Hawaiian god of Ono Grindz". He has a shell and a piece of coral on his forehead now. I will replace that with a piece of Huli Huli Chicken and grilled pineapple, ceramic of course to cut down on the irrahz flies
