Change default notification setting? - Bugs

TC currently selects automatic notification when someone replies to your post, which I usually forget to uncheck. This results in a flurry of emails that I really didn't want and the only way to turn them off is to make another post, or edit a previous one, and deselect the checkbox. Maybe I'm off-base, but seems like this is a feature that would be better suited to setting globally in our profiles, rather than having to think about it every time we post.
