I grabbed a couple and hit them with a couple coats of amber shellac. I know other tiki folk did something similar. They're not quite as impressive as vintage ones from the 60s but as you point out, the circular shelving is one of those tiki icons and I wasn't about to turn my nose up at it because it wasn't perfect.
