One of popular menu items was Ambrosia - Food of the Gods. Oh, what passed for exotic back then LOL It was sour cream, coconut, marshmallows, and canned fruit cocktail. Yes, that menu price is 75 cents. I tried to elevate it a bit. Fresh fruits (mango, pineapple, banana, tangerine) in Cool Whip. I kept the mini marshmallows. Topped with toasted coconut & macadamia nuts and served in a plastic coconut with a paper umbrella. Pretty good while keeping that 60s dessert vibe.
