So glad I read this just now, waiting on some floats to arrive and just ordered the drill bits last night, but I'm going to try this first before I risk breaking stuff. Was looking for outdoor candelabra sockets since it's going on my patio, found some replacement Christmas light sockets (25 for $10 on amazon) so I'll try those that way I can run one wire between the smaller lights and just pop the sockets on wherever I need them.
