I started with the standard rattan barstools with tropical fabric on the cushions. I never felt like these styles of barstools were very comfortable or very sturdy. The patrons of Vitu Waitui have been tough on barstools. I always liked the 70's style barrel pub chairs manufactured by Bothers of Kentucky. There was one significant problem with the chairs.....They weren't bar height. My solution, find some bar height bases and bolt the barrel seats to the frame.
