Hey, new to the forums and tiki scene in general. Got into it about a few years ago during lockdown. Started posting drink photos but found myself getting more into the art of it. Thought I'd try my hand at carving. Tools were mostly a couple of kiridashi knives, and a dremel to finish up.

This is just a small one I made (not the big guy it's sitting on), still more practice than anything. It's basswood and I tried a dark woodstain but I fear that I chose a woodstain too far away from the natural color. I'll just have to find wood I like the look of more next time. Also carved too much off at the bottom so it's top heavy and falls over a lot. But really enjoyed the process and hope to keep going. Any feedback appreciated.
