Re the Mai Tai at Latitude 29 ... I know that the Bum traditionally prefers equal parts dark Jamaican and aged rhum agricole. His website says Appleton, the liquor.com recipe says Coruba. Both say Rhum Clement. The Imbibe link offers some other suggestions.
