I remember that as late as the 70s, there was a vacant lot opposite Kewalo Basin and it had a large tiki sitting in it that looked similar to the one in the tree. The teeth and eyes had faded to brown by then. I may have heard that the lot was where Jack Cione's Forbidden City strip joint had been. |
