Aloha Tiki Central thanks for letting me join your site. I have been collecting Tiki for about 10 years now on Maui Hawaii. Recently I came across a 8foot tall carved lono Tiki. A family that there’s parents purchased from the county fair in Maui in 1972. Was told to me a prisoner from the olinda camp carved tiki and furniture to make money to have for there camp. He is carved beautifully just don’t know much more then that. Things I was wondering if you know anything about him?

  1. What kind of wood is it, Maybe monkeypod? 2.how to tell who carved it there’s no signature?
  2. What would a tiki of this size go for if I had to sell? I’ll send more pictures if need,IMG_614561377703079__E0F2B25A-89BA-4879-8EBA-2818E985BACC61377700511__EB1F5B6E-89A1-4CC5-9086-81F5777F5B54thank you for helping if you can mahalo nui
