Down here in Florida, we were awed in 2024 with Danny's design and leadership in creating Morgan's Cove, his last finished project for the Don the Beachcomber brand. At the nautical speakeasy's grand opening in Tampa, he was the star attraction, embraced by 23 Restaurant Services president Marc Brown and director Jennifer Paci, who is now fighting cancer herself.

It was fun hanging out with Danny and having him point out all the cool details, such as the backlit faux windows that were previously used on the set of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The consummate immersive designer was able to acquire them from a source in Hollywood.

One can only imagine he's now collaborating with his old friends Bob and LeRoy from Oceanic Arts on a new project for Donn Beach himself.
