Hey everyone! First time poster, long time lurker. We're about to close on our new house in which I will finally construct my long-awaited home tiki bar in the basement. It's an older home here in the Midwest but the basement foundation walls are recently redone with new concrete. I'm not too keen on simply gluing lauhala matting and bamboo to the concrete as I also want to avoid needing to pull out a hammer drill whenever I want to hang something on the wall. Has anyone else had a similar build and is willing to drop this home improvement newbie some advice? I'd guess I will need to install some kind of OSB plywood but the basement is relatively small and I don't want to bring out the walls too far, but I also want to do things right the first time. Thanks! (Pic of a couple of the walls included - don't mind the mess!) [ Edited by lonelyscarecrow on 2026-02-12 09:37:33 ] |
