I

I found this site and with mention of the Tai Ping restaurant. My uncle was one of the investors and this is where I had my first Shirley Temple. I do remember this place. It was a place where LA Dodger players brought their wives and dates. I know this because my uncle told me to go to a table and tell the couple you’re a Dodger fan and help/teach them how to use chop sticks. So I end up teaching Tommy Davis and his significant other how to use/manage using the chop sticks and I get an autographed napkin. As a 6 yr old, I probably lost the autograph soon after I got it unless my Mom grabbed it from me. Nice memories. Oh, down the street was Rudi’s Italian restaurant – where else could you get spaghetti and lobster?
