It’s hard to even put into words how much Danny “Tiki Diablo” Gallardo meant to the community. Reading through everyone’s memories, the common thread is clear: he wasn’t just an incredible artist, he was genuinely present with everyone he met.

From signing mugs to sharing a laugh on a plane row, or pointing out the tiniest immersive detail at Morgan’s Cove, Danny made people feel seen. His talent was undeniable, his carvings, his designs, his vision for spaces like Morgan’s Cove but it was his warmth, humor, and generosity that made him unforgettable.

I feel lucky to have had the chance to cross paths with him at events. Every mug, every piece of art, every design he touched carries a bit of that spirit. And while we’ll miss the man, we still get to celebrate the legacy he left behind, in our homes, our collections, and the memories he gave us.

Rest easy, Danny. You changed the Tiki world, and more importantly, you changed the people in it.
