I feel you on the clean carpeting 😅 There’s just something about fresh floors that changes the whole vibe of a room.

And yes haha, good eye! That tan swatch is definitely in the running. I’m trying to warm up the space a bit so it doesn’t feel so stark against the white walls. The fireplace helps a lot though — it’s kind of the anchor of the whole room.

If you’re ever thinking about switching things up without going back to full carpet, I’ve been browsing natural fiber rugs lately. Jute especially adds that soft, earthy tone and works really well with tan shades and brick fireplaces. I found some pretty nice inspo on jute land. — lots of simple pieces that don’t overpower the space.

It’s crazy how much floors and wall color together can totally shift the mood of a room.
