Update on this location:
After going through several transitions; the Hula Hut business was closed a couple of years ago.
It has sat vacant for quite a while, and it's a prime location in the small town of Little Elm. So, the city it seems purchased the property and put out the search for ideas and entrepreneurs to come open up something new.

On Feb 18, 2026 The Little Elm Economic Development Corporation posted on Facebook, that a local Restaurant operator has agreed to bring a new concept to the property. Seems like it could be called "Harbor House" ? https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DUNjNgh7d/

I commented on the post; that I'd love to see a Tiki Bar as part of this. It's a pretty large building so there's room for both a Restaurant and a bar.

Well, the new operator replied to my comment in the positive.

I'm hoping they actually "get it" with regards to Tiki. They do operate a speak-easy bar within one of their other restaurants; and they had a "Tiki Summer" theme last year which did have decent cocktails.

Crossing my fingers that I get a decent place to hang out, and it's just down the street from me!
