RIP Tiki Diablo (aka. Danny Gallardo) - June 14th, 1971 - February 5th, 2026 - General Tiki

Danny was one of the coolest cats out there, real as they come. I had long admired his work before I met him and I don't even remember how I actually met him, but it felt like we'd known each other for years. I loved doing his Shipwrecked show in Marina Del Rey, it was, and is still, one of my favorite tiki marts to vend at. Danny was fun and funny and serious and extraordinarily talented. He was kind, but he took no shit and he stood tall. I loved to talk old Santa Barbara stories with him and we shared a love of Cumbia music. He was a giant of a man and a complete original.
