They were a big deal when I was a kid. I'd place the height of their appeal somewhere around Centennial year (1967) -- before your time I'd daresay. And speaking of which, I found an Expo '67 guidebook yesterday, complete with pavillion stamps on the covers -- brought back fond memories (anyone old/canuck enough to know what the hell I'm talking about?).
