There is a Chinese Restaurant in TOronto (Champion House) that is in a basement as well, and every time I go in there, I think, DAMN! This would make a fabulous tiki bar - keyhole shaped doorways, multi level dining, etc. I think they even served drinks in tiki mugs at one time...

However after watching friends go through opening a restaurant/bar here in TO, I can safely say that I won't be leaving my day job to open a tiki bar anytime soon, as that looks like an INSANE amount of work. I truly admire anyone who has the drive to do it.
