If you want a porn director that really put a lot of thought into his productions check out the work of Radley Metzger. He also used some classics for storylines like Camille 2000 (1969) (even Sven was impressed by the cinematography in that one) and Carmen, Baby! (1967). Just keep in mind that these are only softcore (but fun and titillating nonetheless). But later in his career he went to hardcore and set a standard at the time with a porn remake of Pygmalion called The Opening of Misty Beethoven (1976). And now an apology to the moderators for once again taking a thread a bit off topic.
