Man, I've been pondering this. I gotta go with that mildewy smell you get in tropical buildings, especially the dark parts. The bar area in the Mai Kai has it in spades. It smells timeless and universal, and juxtaposes nicely with fresh coconut, pineapple, rum, mmmm pork, and the other scents of fresh tiki uniquely. |
