Portland's original Waddles restaurant to close - Beyond Tiki

There's a big push here in So. Cal. to get places like this declared historical landmarks and saved from the wrecking ball...but let's face it...when money talks, people listen and these guys got a lotta money. On a different track, I wonder if Waddle's has any connection to a little curio shop & writer's workshop next door to Lou's Records here in Encinitas called "Ducky Waddles". Cool place...bought my last Bosko mug there.
