Ok, I should NOT take the bait.....but I will.

I will say one positive thing and one negative thing about Phish/Dead/Panic.

First the negative:
When DeadHead friends of mine learned that I had turned down an offer of backstage passes to a Dead show (to which I could not drag myself, backstage or not), they were stunned. "But it's the most incredible experience. The last time I saw them, I was tripping, and it was amazing!"
"But," I asked, "do I have to do drugs to like them? I don't do any drugs."
"Oh. Then you probably wouldn't like them."

And now to end on a positive note:
Dave, the big bass player (I think) of Widespread Panic (my neighbor in Athens, GA) was a big fan of my then-band, so at least one of them had some taste in music :wink:
