How about Chaino?

Pages: 1 7 replies

Not sure if anyone posted regarding this
artist...but Chaino is a pretty cool
exotica artist from the 50s! Kinds like
the usual stuff...but much more percussion...
look for re-issue "Africa and Beyond"....
by the way...just finishing up a homemade
cd of percussion (original tunes--not
home-burned thievery...kinda sorta tiki-bar
background music...anybody interested in
a freebie?

Chaino rules.

African Exotica.

Very primitive, truly tribal, primal, raw: mostly just drums and grunts.

Deliciously Un-PC.

I'll trade you a copy of my Left Orbit Temple project's CD for whatever you're working on (this goes for virtually all TC members!).

you are right...the chaino stuff is less
than politically correct...especially
the cover art on some of them...it's
down to creating cover art and insert
for our cd...will get an address and
throw one in the mail this week....we
are interested in all feedback...positive
and negative...general concensus from
listeners is that our music sounds like
a soundtrack for a cheesy exploitation/
jungle movie...all we need now is the
movie to go with it!

p.s. just checked in on your website...
would be very intereted in listening to
your project....am also somewhat familiar
with Pigface and Flat Earth Society..and
was reading Tiki Road Trip last night...
looking for ideas to steal for tiki carving...your feedback on our project...
The Mensters....would be very valuable.

I have the Jungle Mating Rhythms vynil wich is more than great...
And I love the re-issued cd also.

I dig his stuff, great to paint to, very primal with his grunts and groans and the percussion is outta sight.
Chain-O rocks , I have Africana and Beyond

Congatiki's stuff arrived in the mail today.

Very cool.

Mostly percussion, a little keyboards and mallets thrown in for good measure. Ambient, tribal feeeling to it all. Sorta reminds me of a Tikified version of Muslimgauze.

LOT is in the mail to you, now that I have your address...

hey tikibars....thanks for the positive
remarks on the "mensters" cd...thanks
also to Tiki Toa for his comments earlier
in the week...really looking forward to
LOT....sounds like it will be right up
my alley.
