I had a chance to see Otto's proof copy of the full-color book, and this show has an AMAZING variety of tiki art--it's a big show, with a lot of great people represented. Also, nearly all of the original artwork in the show is astoundingly affordable. My personal favorite piece in the show (though it falls a bit outside the "affordable" category--it's just too jaw-droppingly cool, and a TON of effort must have gone into it) is Crazy Al's chess set. I won't attempt to describe it, it should just be seen. Maybe Al's got a pic he can post. Too cool. Still figuring out if I can make it up for the show, I've got some crazy business trips next month. I'm going to try real hard, tho! |

Should I order the book ahead of time from the gallery or will there be plenty of them at the show on Friday? |

WOW! Congrats on putting together such an incredible collection. I remember you talking about it when Angela and I were out there but my reaction was certainly understated a bit seeing the reality of how many fantastic pieces you've assembled. Thanks for doing the book for us auslanders. I'll certainly enjoy that for years to come. |
