I need help.. I need to find a copy of one of those old ads for the art school that says "DRAW THIS TURTLE!" or if not that, then "DRAW THIS PIRATE"! I think they were on matchbooks too...

I saw an online ad for that same place, with those same old illustrations on it, just the other day. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Not sure how to track down a scan of the actual ad, though... anyone have an old TV Guide collection? Those ads ran in TV Guide all the time when I was a kid.

J$ - I love your rendition. They should hire you just on creativity. Not that your talent isn't considerable.

"I despise eraser marks—everything about them: their smell, their irritating little squiggly pink excrement that smears all over the page"

What a great visual!

J$, I love it!

I've never seen the turtle or pirate, only a goofy looking bear who's head you had to draw, in any size BUT what's shown.

Juxtapoz usually have a guest artist give a rendition of one of those every once in a while, and it is usually killer.
