It's this: try not to worry about anything but what happens within the next 24 hours (within reason that is). |

HAH! I did that as a joke one time... she seemed pretty pissed. After I apologized profusely, she made me go in and retrieve it! That led to a whole other chapter - However I've never had the courage to try it again with a different dancer! TTK |

In my nearly 38 years I have learned that I know less and less every day that passes, that and that I can't eat a whole bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats like I use-ta coulda. Not a pretty after effect. |

When you only know someone from posts on the internet, certain misconceptions can occur. however, after 48 years of life, 30 as a musician,28 as a Husband, 11 as a Father, 6 as a Union President and 2 as a Tikiphile, I know one thing...I like Tiki Bong's attitude, his responses and his humour, and I am totally pissed with those that don't get it. The end of free discourse is nigh if he has breathed his last scurrilous response. Grow up people. |

Stratiki! I come to realize that you are an extremely intelligent, gifted, insightful, and bitterly-honest individual. How odd, our statistical numbers are similar - I've been on the face of Earth 44 years, musician 31 (if you count Jr High orchestra), father 13 years (mother for about an hour after heavy drinking), and some other things I don't want to talk about. Anyway, I now knight you Tiki Bong Squire! Behold his brilliance all TC members. Our official saying is: Live Aloha, or I'll kill you. |

POLONIUS: Yet here, Laertes? Aboard, aboard, for shame! And these few precepts in thy memory Look thou character. Give thy thoughts no tongue, Be thou familiar but by no means vulgar. Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried, Beware of entrance to a quarrel, but being in, Give every man thy ear but few thy voice. Take each man’s censure but reserve thy judgment. Costly thy habit as thy purse can buy, And they in France of the best rank and station Neither a borrower nor a lender be, This above all: to thine own self be true, Farewell. My blessing season this in thee. -- Polonius's farewell to his son Laertes, from "Hamlet" [ Edited by: Satan's Sin on 2004-10-29 08:21 ] |

Sometimes I wonder if most musicians aren't frustrated. I'm frustrated because althought I practice more that I sleep, I never seem to attain the skill those steel players of yesterday attained. At times I want to smash my '51 triple-neck, eight-string in to a million splinters, and others times I want to caress is from stem to stern. I loathe and love steel all at once... |

Indeed - I feel your angst. I have a gold-plated sterling handmade Miyazawa Classic flute; heavy wall for more resistance and a rich, dark timbre. I relish playing... but flute players are a dime a dozen. Why couldn't I have played the bassoon instead. (So I simply sell speakers and play on the side) |
