For those who may wonder (why, and how) my Thrillville gig and the Parkway Theater in Oakland is, check out this article from the East Bay edition of the SF Chronicle:

Tiki Central members - come up and say hey next time you're in the area.

What a great article, Will! Once again, I'm jealous of those of you out on the coast who get to attend cool stuff like this ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME it seems!

Keep up the good work, Mr. Thrill. You do us proud :)

Thanks AZ, I needed that. I don't suppose any of you guys have a copy of Trader Vic's book mentioned in the article...do ya?

Shipwreck - there wasn't a mention of the book in the Thrillville article, you must be thinking of this?

In fact, I need to post those links as their own topics, too, for the sake of Tiki Centralites not in the Bay Area.

Formika: there's a big Rat Pack party that goes on in Houston (where my mother's family is from - she was Miss Houston 1960!!) that I get invited to every year, on Frank's Birthday (Dec 12) - I'll go through my emails and see if I can find the info. Glad to know you got the Gulf States covered with coolness, doll!

Sorry about that AquaZombie. I think I must've took a detour into the Trader Vic's zone. Anyway...enjoyed BOTH articles.
