Someone sent me this link and I can't figure out how it works -- but it works everytime.

Follow the instructions and give it a try!

Using the formula given, the result will ALWAYS be a multiple of 9 (9,18,27,...);

So, as long as they use the same symbol on the table for each multiple of 9, the symbol will always be the one you pick.

By changing the symbols associated with the numbers each time around, it looks like magic.

Sorry if that spoils the fun ...

Cheers!

Here's a great trick to play on someone based on the same principle:

  1. Think of any number from one to 10.

  2. When you have it, multiply it by 9.

  3. If it's a two-digit number, add them together.

  4. Now, subtract 5 from the number in your head.

  5. Now, think of the letter in the alphabet that corresponds with the number you are thinking about. For instance, if you are thinking of the number "ONE", it would be "A". Number "TWO" would be "B"."THREE" is "C", and so on.

  6. Now, think of a country that starts with the letter you're thinking of. Spell the country in your head.

  7. Think about the second letter in that country's name. Now, quickly think of an animal who's name begins with that letter.

Now I'll read your mind...
That's funny... tthere ARE no elephants in Denmark!
