There has been some interest for subscriptions to the upcoming Tiki Magazine outside of the U.S. I would like to make Tiki magazine available to anyone who would like to read it, regardless of where they live. I looked at the USPS website and it would cost about $9.00 an issue on top of the subscription price of $12 to deliver it in a timely manner. Does anyone have any suggestions to bring this cost down??? |

It can't be that much. When I win LPs for examples on Ebay, I usually pay no more that 5-8 dollars... |

Call the Post Office and give them your situation. You can usually get a discount on bulk mail. The customer service people at the Post Office (in my experience) are very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They have to with the likes of Fed Ex and UPS cutting into their business. They'll be able to find the best solution (probably Global Priority Mail http://www.usps.com/global/globalprioritymail.htm). I've been in Traffic and Logistics for over ten years and for small packages over seas, you can't beat the old U.S. Mail (for cost). Seriously, call them (800) 275-8777 Tiki Mugs, Vintage, Tiki Bars, Carved Tiki Poles, Apparel and more! [ Edited by: Tiki Matt on 2004-12-16 21:38 ] |

You could ask someone kindly to distribute them for you if there aren't too many. Then you can send over say ten or twenty at the time and people will only have to pay apercentage of this postage plus their local postage. |

cheekytiki, That's a great idea. If you of anyone or any business who would like to distribute them so the cost isn't too high. I spent 5 hours at USPS, UPS, and FedEx trying to get the best deal. I just want tikiphiles outside the U.S. to know I'm trying. By the way, going to the post office this time of year is not the smartest thing. |

Well, I can do that if you want, even if I guess I'll be the only one interested in France...but I can send those to Germany, England if you want. |

Virani, That would be great if you could do that. We can work out particulars after the Holidays. If you could, please let me know of any shipping options you might find that would make things cheaper. have a great holiday season. |
