Best to visit the endangered casinos before it it too late!

No news on Circus Circus but check Casino Death Watch for destruction information on all business with Vegas casinos.

And be sure to check 'The List' of what is going and about to go at the bottom.

A Vegas paper reported today that the Tropicana has been sold and the new owners don't plan on demolisghing it for two years while they research demolition and construction options and funding.

Pinnacle Gaming has announced it plans to acquire Aztar. This will combine the resources of the two companies making development of the Tropicana site in Las Vegas more likely, although the press release states:

Pinnacle intends to design a major project that would utilize the entire 34-acre site. It is estimated that the design phase of this project will require at least two years.
Based on this statement, we don't expect the Tropicana to close any time soon

Is nothing sacred!?!?

No. Not when the land is worth more than what's on it. Lame, I know....

Thanks sooo much for the info, guys!!! I'm going to Vegas in September. For a wedding, actually!

So I hope to see as much of the remaining vintage stuff as I can before it's gone daddy gone...sigh
