Can anyone ID this strange mug?

Here is a strange mug I received for Christmas. Not really tiki, but I don't know what it is.

Anyone have a clue?

Oh, that's definitely an Aztec or Mayan thing! Probably from a Mexican restaurant?

I second that.

I would say the same thing - but I love the green side!

Is it ceramic or plastic? The grey side reminds me of a beardless Kon-Tiki mask.

It is ceramic. Strangely, the eye holes actually go all the way through the mug, making it a rather problematic drinking vessel!

Maybe not a drinking vessle... Perhaps a votive for a candle to let the light come through the eyes? Oooh, spooky....

:tiki:

....or possibly it's the famous Aztec Trick Dribble Glass!
