In an interview with Canadian steel guitar player Mike "Malahini" Scott in my last issue of Mai Tai, he says his band played the opening of the Toronto Trader Vic's...

Quote: "We actually played at the opening of the bar. Trader Vic and his wife came up from California for the event - that was sometime in the 70's."

I know when it closed.... too soon! Late 80's or early 90's. It is now a Ruth's Chris Steak House.
