Wow. I'd take that house in a heartbeat. I particularly like the atrium. I only recently became aware that a lot of Eichlers had atriums, and I think it's damned shame that so few houses have them. Hey -- did you see the "mid-century modern-style homes" (that is, brand-new homes built in a midcentury style) in the latest issue of Atomic Ranch? What do you think of those? Here's their site: http://www.modernlivingspaces.com/index.html I say it's about friggin' time some modern contractor actually sat down and built a brand-new home along midcentury lines. Send these plans to those guys -- I bet they'll use it! Thanks, tikifish! Keep 'em coming! |

I went to those houses when i was at Oasis this year. I walked through several. They're bitchin', but in Cathedral City (the middle of nowhere). I was considering buying one as an investment, i think they were going for around $400K, just didn't want to take the chance (being as how the location really sucks). If your ever in Palm Springs, definately check them out. Here's yet another Palm Springs outfit making brand-new midcentury homes: These look beautiful, but the pictures are too small and there are no floor plans. But they look really, really great. |
